Ridgefield Troop 116 is known as the hiking troop. We’re an active bunch, meeting Monday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 in the Carriage House at Jesse Lee Church. Our three aims are leadership, advancement, and service.
We go camping once a month and, each summer, go on a High Adventure where we backpack in national parks such as Yosemite, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Mt. Whitney. These are trips-of-a-lifetime that scouts never forget.
|
Troop 116 is fortunate to have very active participation by parents—our strong adult leadership is very experienced in the outdoors. Other troop highlights include:
-
Organized troop meetings
-
Nurturing advancement program for first year scouts
-
Easy, one-day fundraising: Christmas Tree Pickup in early January
-
Active adult participation. 1:3 ratio-one adult for every three scouts
-
High percentage of our scouts attain the rank of Eagle
The best way to learn more about our Troop is to visit one of our meetings. Send us an email and we can get that scheduled.
We look foward to hearing from you.
Yours in Scouting,
Don Romoser, Scoutmaster
